About the role
The role of the Child and Parent Centre is to provide high-quality, accessible and integrated

early childhood programs and services for families with children aged 0-8years with a strong

focus on 0-4 year olds (including parents expecting children).

The Service is a family-friendly facility that will offer programs and services to support parents

and help children develop and learn in their early years. It is an early childhood one-stop-shop

that provides support, information and referrals to help parents and their family, as well as

providing a welcoming place to come and meet other families.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of an Activity Work Plan Schedule for Play in the Park.
  • Record Play in the Park attendance and participation outcomes
  • Organise and facilitate weekly planning meetings with the Play and the Park team Responsible for maintaining the Play in the Park equipment and ordering new resources after approval from the Child and Parent Centre Manager is given.
  • Chair and lead the Hedland Early Years Network meetings
  • Responsible for maintaining and organising servicing the Play in the Park bus.

Essential Requirements

  • National Police Clearance
  • Certificate III Children's Services (0 to 12 years) and relevant experience or a Diploma/Degree in Community Services work with Children or Youth and or Counselling/Health Diploma/Degree and relevant experience.
  • To hold and maintain a suitable First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate approved by ACECQA
  • Current valid Driver's License
