Senior Product Manager: Payments & Commercial Solutions

Full-Time Permanent

How will I help?

You will join the Cash and Transactional Banking line of business that is accountable for product management of our payments and commercial solutions across our Consumer and Business customer segments. Focussing on the customer and driving product propositions, compliance, and risk function.

You will be accountable for our debit card portfolio and lead our strategic roadmap ensuring our debit card offering is driving engagement and helping our customers grow. Our Payments and Commercial solutions Team is accountable for Debit cards, Pre-paid travel products and other payment methods including NPP, cheques and cash along with commercial deposit services.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Establish strong relationships with our scheme partners to ensure our debit propositions are market leading.
  • Ensure simplicity within our product propositions and processes as well as implementing improvements and strategies to reduce fraud and scam risks for our customers.
  • Challenge the status quo through analysis to drive outstanding outcomes for our customers and driving quality.
  • Collaborate with digital, IT and enterprise project teams to deliver key capability to make it easier for our customers bank with us across the Westpac brands ensuring the alignment to the broader line of business objectives.

What do I need?
  • Extensive experience in payments with strong understanding of the debit cards landscape in Australia and/or across other regions.
  • Analytical mindset and customer centricity to design and build digital solutions with a strong efficiency and service quality.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
  • Strong communication written and verbal.
  • Proven experience in complex digital and banking platforms, driving change and innovation.
  • Experienced in end-to-end product management from inception, delivery and maintenance.
  • Experience in managing payments products or in wider payments industry is highly desirable.
