The Role:

  • Working collaboratively with suppliers onshore and overseas to ensure consistent inbound materials.
  • Mentor, train and act as the 2IC of the team supporting the Procurement Manager.
  • Manage all BOM Material purchasing orders via Planning Demand (BOM and nonBOM).
  • Responsible for reviewing and implementing new purchasing processes and procedures as required.
  • Proactively maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach
  • Manage the Vendor Approval Process from Start to Finish and support preparation of contracts; quotations, terms, regulations
  • Support the management of supplier performance (to achieve the requirements of the contract from a schedule, cost and quality perspective).
  • Securing cost savings through effective negotiations and monitoring such via KPI
  • Overseeing Inventory waste reduction and monitoring such via KPI

Skills & Experience

  • At least 23 years experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
  • Complimentary tertiary qualification or equivalent desirable
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Epicor preferrable
  • Proficient in MS Office software use, including but not limited to MS Excel
  • A strong ethos for quality, integrity and resilience
  • Desire for continuous improvement and development
