The role


An exciting part-time job share opportunity is now available in DevelopmentWA's Conveyancing team working 3 days per week to provide conveyancing advice and support to the conveyancing team and wider business.

You will also be undertaking complex conveyancing transactions, preparing documents for subdivisions, implementation of strategies and providing all round support and coverage to the Conveyancing Manager.


This role would suit an experienced Conveyancer with a background in land development and subdivisions looking for a part time role.

You will be friendly and dynamic with a can-do attitude to assist and support the team and have extensive experience in conveyancing and sales contract management.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Undertaking a broad range of assignments as delegated by the Conveyancing Manager.
  • Leading, directing and coordinating special projects and initiatives on behalf of the Conveyancing Manager.
  • Undertaking management of complex contracts, intergovernment transactions, all aspects of settlements and post settlement matters.
  • Undertaking subdivisions, preparing documents, working with various stakeholders and external Legal stakeholders.
  • Collating statistics, composing reports, Board/Executive papers, assisting with audits and other correspondence as required.
  • Providing support and advice to the Conveyancing Team and the wider business.
  • Assisting other Conveyancing Team roles when required (e.g. leave coverage)
  • Assisting with the implementation of new systems, new initiatives, policies and procedures.
  • Review, update and creation of conveyancing templates and documents.
  • Management of PEXA compliance, training and onboarding.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Relevant qualification (e.g. Conveyancing, Property Development or Legal).
  • High level of communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, together with strong organisational and analytical ability.
  • Extensive experience in conveyancing, sales contract administration, preparation and review of legal documents.
  • Experience with complex property transactions and subdivision matters.
  • Experience with intergovernment property transactions is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the statutes, legal practices and processes which impact on property transactions and the activities of DevelopmentWA.
  • Excellent computer and systems skills and adaptability with learning new systems.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate, support and assist other team members.
  • Experience in an organisation with similar values and ethics to DevelopmentWA is highly desirable.
