Assistant Director, Cyber Security Enablement and Delivery

Location:
Canberra/ Open for hybrid work
Duration: 6 months with possible extension

The Assistant Director, Cyber Security Enablement and Delivery will lead and mentor a small team of
Administration and project management professionals assisting to manage cyber security activities across the OCIO. Substantial engagement with both external and internal stakeholders is required.

  • The role involves key responsibilities including:
  • Leading and conducting projects and programs of work.
  • Development, implementation and management of Cyber security resilience projects and programs of work.
  • Completing section financial responsibilities such as tracking, reporting and management of the section budget.
  • Development of IT security standards, policy, procedures, and controls to manage risks.
  • Improvement of company's security positioning through process improvement, policy, automation, and the continuous evolution of capabilities.
  • Performance of other related duties as assigned from time to timebased on the business requirements.
  • Mandatory criteria (please address this points in your response):
  • Must hold Australian Citizenship and be willing to undergo Security Vetting processes to NV
  • Demonstrated project management experience with relevant industry qualifications to at least practitioner level.
  • Experience managing operational budgets within a government environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability within a hybrid APS and Labour Hire workforce.
  • A thorough knowledge of key Australian Government cyber security frameworks including the

  • Proven experience in dealing with technical and nontechnical business teams in a Cyber GRC engagement context.
  • Experience with or qualifications relating to Commonwealth Procurement Rules and contract management
