D'Arcy Weil is representing a leading national law firm with a reputation for providing exceptional legal services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join their Banking & Finance team, specialising in securitisation.

The firm is looking for a Senior Associate with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience and a strong background in securitisation transactions and structured finance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex and high-profile transactions with a diverse client base, including major financial institutions, corporates, and government entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transactional Work: Leading and managing securitisation transactions including drafting and negotiating transaction documents, advising on legal and regulatory issues, and coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Client Management: Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervising and mentoring junior associates and paralegals, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of work and professional development.
  • Business Development: Participating in business development activities, including networking, preparing and delivering presentations, and contributing to the firm's thought leadership in the area of securitisation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Staying abreast of relevant legal and regulatory developments, ensuring compliance and advising clients on potential impacts.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Admission to practice law in Australia.
  • Experience: 5-8 years PQE in banking and finance law, with a focus on securitisation and structured finance.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in handling complex securitisation transactions, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Client Focus: Proven ability to manage client relationships effectively, with a client-centric approach and a track record of delivering high-quality legal advice.
  • Leadership: Experience in supervising and mentoring junior legal staff, with strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Business Acumen: Commercially astute with the ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
