Caring Respectful Pro-active Professional We are currently looking for a Master Planner keen to bring a solid experience from established production and/or assembly organisation to support our growth.

The right candidate will be a catalyst for continuous improvement, yet ready to get their hands dirty.
This is a new role.
What do we expect you to be doing?

Master Production Scheduling:
Develop and maintain the production schedule to ensure alignment with sales forecasts, production capacity, and inventory policies.
Balance demand and supply to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time while optimizing resource utilization.

Demand and Supply Planning:
Analyse sales forecasts and historical data to predict future demand.

Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to incorporate market trends and customer feedback into the planning process.

Ensure adequate supply of materials and components by coordinating with the procurement team and suppliers.

Capacity Planning:
Assess production capacity and capabilities to meet the MPS.
Identify potential bottlenecks and work with production and other teams to address capacity constraints.
Develop strategies for capacity expansion or contraction based on demand fluctuations.

Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to ensure they are within optimal ranges.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess stock and reduce carrying costs.
Coordinate with the procurement team to manage lead times and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Production Coordination:
Coordinate with production supervisors and managers to ensure the MPS is followed, and production targets are met.
Adjust the MPS as needed to accommodate changes in demand, production issues, or other disruptions.
Communicate changes in the production schedule to relevant stakeholders.

Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for production planning-related inquiries and issues (both internally and externally)Communicate with production teams, management, and other relevant stakeholders.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on production goals and strategies.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyse production data, including lead times, production rates, and yield rates, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare regular reports on production performance, inventory status, and capacity utilization.
Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement process improvements.
Identify opportunities to improve production planning processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and other continuous improvement programs.
Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the planning process.
What you need to be successful in this role:3+ years of previous experience from similar position in production company.

Good knowledge of ERPs or similar (you will be using Net Suite and be actively proposing changes and additions to the systems within your area of expertise).

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
  • Ability to work both in-office and remotely in a hybrid setting.
  • Availability to travel as needed.
