THE ROLE

Based in the Asia-Pacific region, the Director of Cloud Security (APAC) will report to the Global Director of Cloud Security and be a key member of the Temenos Security leadership team. The incumbent will drive overall regional security strategy and implementation of our Temenos Cloud Security Framework and Cloud Security Programmes across our SaaS services for public and private cloud within the APAC region. You will be the ambassador for Cloud Security within the region, leading client meetings and prospective engagements, as well as leading a regional team of talented Cloud Security Engineers.

Working closely with Temenos Cloud APAC team, you will provide high quality cloud security services for our SaaS banking clients, collaborating with colleagues across Cloud Operations, SaaS Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Product, Services, Sales, Legal, Governance, Risk, and Compliance, Information Security and our Cyber Defense Centre. You will be responsible for increasing the maturity of both the regional and global cloud security functions, exploiting opportunities to innovate and further advancing our technical capabilities, tools and people.

OPPORTUNITES
  • You will assume overall leadership and development of the APAC Regional Cloud Security Strategy and Roadmap, working towards global consistency aligned to our global security standards including tooling, governance, policies and processes.
  • You will represent the security organisation at the regional APAC Cloud Boards, updating senior stakeholders/executives on strategy, workstreams, projects and client updates.
  • You will develop, enhance and implement our regional security capabilities, aligned to the Cloud Security Programme for Temenos SaaS across Public and Private cloud estates.
  • You will understand the security needs of our clients and prospects and their stakeholders and regulators, using this knowledge to help shape and adapt our security roadmap.
  • You will collaborate with SaaS Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Information and Product security to develop and maintain the technical security architecture for Temenos SaaS.
  • You will play a key role in governing the development of new architectures and client solutions.
  • You will design, implement, and report regional security KPI's, ensuring transparency and breadth of coverage in reporting as our business needs evolve, striving for continuous improvement.
  • You will represent Temenos as an ambassador and SME with clients and prospects as required to describe our Cloud Security controls, processes, and capabilities.
  • You will maintain cutting edge knowledge of the threats to Public Cloud hosted technology solutions, particularly in the Fintech space.
  • You will build relationships with stakeholders across Temenos, becoming a trusted partner to successfully embed security within the development, implementation, and operation of Temenos SaaS.
Skills
  • You should have 12+ years of experience in information security, with recent cloud security experience.
  • You should have experience in developing security strategies and roadmaps with the ability to analyse and assess ambiguity, bringing logic, clarity and direction to a broad range of challenges.
  • You should have expert level experience with cloud security, including hands-on experience of cloud-native security solutions and tools primarily in Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services.
  • You should have experience managing a security team, ability to coach, develop and mentor team members.
  • You should have demonstrated programme/project management experience with a strong delivery focus and understanding of business drivers, integrating requirements into overall security design.
  • You should have excellent communication skills, relationship building, stakeholder influencer, with an ability to communicate technical challenges to non-technical persons.
  • You should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage client expectations effectively and drive results using a proactive approach towards identifying and resolving issues.
  • You should have direct working knowledge and experience with industry security standards (CCM, NIST, ISO, PCI, CIS, etc.)
  • You should have certification in Information/Cloud Security, for example CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, CISA etc.
  • You should have the ability to navigate operational security issues, applying due rigour and security best practice to arrive at sensible recommendations and follow through to conclusion.
  • You should have awareness of various regional regulatory requirements (especially APRA, ACSC, MAS etc).
  • You should have client facing experience in any sector highly regarded.
  • You should have previous experience in Incident Response in a Public Cloud environment.
