Your Role


As an integral member of the Adelaide Manufacturing Team, you will provide clear leadership and direction to your relevant production group.


A Typical Day
Ÿ

Carefully monitoring labour requirements to ensure that production targets are maintained.

Ÿ
Responsible for the effective and efficient of use of labour in your line to ensure production targets are achieved. Ÿ

Monitor, order, control and report on factory consumables

Ÿ
Taking responsibility for the ongoing training and development of all employees under your operational control. Ÿ

Encourage the attainment of EMS Yellow and Green Gear certification for all employees Ÿ

Monitor absenteeism, lateness, efficiency and where required provide counseling and or disciplinary action as required.

Ÿ
Carry out performance appraisals for employees under your control

Ÿ

Own the safety of your people by ensuring all employees are aware and comply with all safety, quality and environmental procedures and practices within your area of work.

Ÿ

Ensuring that all new operators or operators that are moved to a different work area are correctly inducted and trained.

Ÿ

Having Responsibility for the management of injured workers and their respective work restrictions.

Ÿ
Timely completion of any raised Accident/Investigation form

Ÿ
Promote continuous improvement including housekeeping and the maintenance of the of the EMS boards using EMS principles Ÿ

Role model behaviors for all employees under their control i.e. integrity, honesty, and keeping to commitments made

Ÿ

Conduct team meetings with team leaders and operators on an appropriately regular basis to provide feedback on individual and team performance.

Ÿ
Investigate reasons for equipment downtime and put systems in place to achieve reduction.

Coaching your Team Leaders

Who You Are
Ÿ
Supervisory experience in a large/medium manufacturing environment

Ÿ
Knowledge of Quality Accreditation (ISO9001 and ISO14001) framework

Ÿ
Understanding of total product assembly process

Ÿ
Understanding of the Just in Time (Kanban) delivery process

Ÿ
Certificate IV in Frontline Management (preferable)

Ÿ
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders across functions
