The Opportunity


We are working with a leading Victorian Government Department on a major transformation program and helping them uplift their project delivery support in the areas of reporting, governance, scope, change and schedule management and a number of other areas within their PMO and we are looking for an experienced Program PMO Manager to join our on-site team.


Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring a fully functioning Program Management Office is in place with weekly status reporting and active risk, issue and dependency management

Ensuring that a Program Management Office Service is established and fully functioning


Ensuring the Program Management Office services monitors and supports the programs and project portfolio around Risk, Cost, Schedule, Quality, and Scope.

Ensuring key processes including Change Management and Scope management are in place

Ensuring Program and Project Portfolio high level milestones for 2023 are confirmed and a program schedule is baselined

Ensuring Governance and Assurance measures and accountabilities are in place

Ensuring the 2023/2024 Program Management Plan is drafted and approved, and

Ensuring Project Investment Plan for 2023 is created and drafted for approval

This is a long-term contract (initially 12 months) in a large and complex program of work so to qualify you will be able to demonstrate:

Experience working within complex ICT environments (preferably within government sector) and reporting to Steering Committees at senior management and exec levels.

Formal PMO methodology experience in either PRINCE2 or PMBOK.

Proven agile PM/scrum master experience under the Agile SCRUM methodology,

Experience managing the full project life cycle from planning through to operational support hand-over.

Experience managing multi-functional teams across Business Analysis, Architecture (Solution, Security, Data, Infrastructure), Development, and Testing.

Extensive experience of managing software development and or COTS implementation.

Hands-on experience managing finance/forecast and delivering projects to approved budget.

Demonstrated high-level experience in the management of complex business projects/programs and a specialised understanding of project management methodologies, principles and policies (e.g. SaFE, Lean, Scrum, Agile, CX and UX)


Experience with Oracle ERP Fusion, Victorian Government experience and experience working with Zeno and Power BI would be highly regarded.
