The Opportunity


A unique opportunity to join a small newly created team focusing on the exciting space of Commercial Electric Vehicles (EVs).

You will have a direct report and will oversee the Product Management, Strategy and Launch of key nameplates such as Ranger PHEV, E-Transit and E-Transit Custom.


The parental leave role will report into the General Manager of Electric Vehicles and sits within the Marketing and Sales (M&S) team of Ford Australia, located in Melbourne, Richmond.

This is a hybrid role and is split 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

The role also includes collaborating with the Product Development Team based in the Campbellfield Office and relevant commercial counterparts in Europe.

This role requires you and your direct report to be the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for your product portfolio.

As such, it provides the opportunity to work cross-functionally and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, across the Ford M&S, Ford Management and Ford Field Team.

**Key Responsibilities

Analyse various market data (sales, share, competitive offers, stocks) to develop and present for the approval of retail programs that achieve set sales, share targets and strategy.

Construct on-time and on-budget Retail Programs that deliver sales and share targets on a monthly and quarterly basis. Closely align with Sales to manage allocations and ordering vs market demand.

Create all Dealer communications regarding retail incentives, product information and pricing updates.


Provide support on all product and retail questions from cross-functional internal and external stakeholders and business partners including, the dealers and field staff.

Develop, implement and maintain product business cases (including volume, feature content, pricing strategy, series mix, business mix, options, margins, variable marketing)

Understand the competitive product environment, identify potential areas of advantage or disadvantage for both in-market products and future products and provide recommendations

Areas of professional exposure
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing

5 years of experience in auto Industry

Strong presentation and written communication skills to internal and external stakeholders (Dealerships, media and senior management)

Ability to simply large amounts of data into actionable recommendations

Prior Electric Vehicle or Commercial vehicle knowledge/experience is highly valued but not required

(including volume, feature content, pricing strategy, series mix, business mix, options, margins, variable marketing) for approval by FoA and IMG senior management.

  • Ensure pricing strategy is maintained by adjusting market equations to respond to market changes or revised business objectives (eg pricing tasks).
  • Coordinate with FCSD on accessory programs that relate to future and current product programs
  • Understand the competitive product environment, identify potential areas of advantage or disadvantage for both inmarket products and future products and provide recommendations
  • Ensure Product and Pricing strategy matches with Marketing Strategy and Communications team's brand strategy (Brand strategy leads Product strategy)
  • Utilise market research, and other appropriate sources
