Dargues Mine is a gold mining and milling operation located in the south-eastern NSW tablelands, approximately 60 kilometres (km) south-east of Canberra.

The facility includes an underground mine, processing plant and associated surface facilities.

Your Role


As a Field Technician at Aurelia Metals, you won't just be taking a job; you'll be starting your journey in the mining industry at a fully operational mine site.

This role offers the unique opportunity to be part of our transition from mine closure to rehabilitation, setting the stage for a sustainable future.

Be ready for a varied role filled with exciting challenges and opportunities to grow at other Aurelia operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertake surface infrastructure maintenance tasks
  • Support environmental compliance core functions
  • Complete site water monitoring, feral pest and weed control activities
  • Provide operational team support
  • Assist with hazard reduction for bushfire management
  • Offer crossdepartmental support Develop sustainability processes related to the role

About You


You're someone who loves the great outdoors and is flexible enough to handle various tasks with enthusiasm and safety in mind.

You're a team player eager to dive into the mining industry.

  • Must-Have:
  • Unrestricted C Class Drivers License (manual).
  • Knowledge of workplace health, safety, environment & communities.
  • Planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • ChemCERT (highly valued for weed control).
  • Experience operating mobile plant
  • Forklift License
  • Previous mine site experience
  • Cert III in Mines Emergency Response and Rescue. Confined Space & Working at Heights Certificate.
