This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description.

The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met.

Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
About the Role

Duties include the following, but are not limited to:

  • As a Schools Officer, you will perform a wide range of activities, both routine and non routine on a daily basis.
  • This will include maintenance of school oval through watering, mowing and maintenance; general garden maintenance; rubbish removal; maintenance of basic equipment; maintain various registers; purchasing of supplies & fuels;
- swimming pools (e.g. maintaining proper water quality, testing water, keeping records of tests, adjusting/adding chemicals as consistent with occupational, health and safety (WHS) guidelines and procedures); ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements;
- attending to/or arranging repairs to furniture and equipment. Monitor and maintain school facilities (including locks, windows, lighting etc).

  • Banking of school funds. (This does not refer to the collection, receipt, or reconciliation of funds, but rather to the deposition of funds at the appropriate bank institution).
  • Communicate and liaise with a wide range of personnel, students, external contractors and tradespersons in relation to damage to facilities, lost property and repair and maintenance to the school.
  • Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
