  • To support our success and recent growth, Sedgman is seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor to join our team based in Perth CBD.
  • Working with the Senior Procurement Advisor the key objectives of this role are to support the control and direction of the procurement function by ensuring equipment, services and materials are purchased/engaged in accordance with requirements and arrive at the nominated destination in good condition, within budget and on time.
    The role will involve the following responsibilities
  • Follow the procurement processes in accordance with current policies, maximise commercial benefit to the project and ensure deliverables are on schedule
  • Assist in the production of all commercial documentation for the compilation and issue of all tender, request for tender, and pricing documentation for all subcontracts.
  • Issue approved documentation to nominated suppliers.
  • Participate in the technical and commercial evaluation and recommendation of received tenders and quotes and the award of subcontracts.
  • Manage interfaces with the engineering/technical team, commercial/legal team, and interactions with suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Conforming contracts and liaising with legal on preferred subcontract provisions to achieve best for project outcome.
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of all subcontracts in accordance with the terms and conditions.
  • Assist with the coordination and expediting of supply and subcontractor deliverables including inspection and auditing.
  • Manage subcontract packages to ensure project expectations are met, including, transport and logistics functions, assistance with vendor data expediting, review of progress reports, generation of approved contract variations and review and approval of payment claims.
  • Monitor and report procurement activities progress and program and implement corrective action as required.
  • Manage relationships and ways of working with key vendors to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of goods/services that meet business requirements.
  • Implement all subcontracts in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions.
  • Assist with Vendor/Supplier/Contractor prequalification process, including organising meetings with potential new Suppliers.
  • Under supervision, procure equipment, supplies, materials, services at the most favourable prices consistent with the desired quantity, quality, delivery and other factors.
  • Ensure that documentation is completed, filed and auditable (accuracy, mínimal rectification required after checking).
  • Implementing procurement processes, resourcing appropriate teams for a project, and prepare plans to meet project expectations.
