Pay Rate:
$44.10/hour + Super

ACT Canberra Location
This position promotes and delivers services on site at our public library branches.

It is the first point of contact for customers and focusses on providing excellent high-level customer service to the Canberra community.


  • Demonstrated high quality customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptive in emergency response situation as well as being able to manage conflict resolution
  • Skills and experience in using and promoting current and emerging technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as first point of contact in the libraries and provide excellent, proactive customer service.
  • Take ownership of the endtoend customer service and resolution of customer queries and complaints.
  • Ability to take leadership role in safety critical and evacuation situations
  • Promote services and deliver programs as well as informing customers of library resources and community services and programs relevant to their needs.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement, community engagement and lifelong learning initiatives.

What we are looking for:

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • This position does require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
  • This position is required to work evening and weekend shifts.
  • Relevant work experience in an environment such as retail, hospitality or experience managing public spaces would be desirable

This position is an immediate start and requires checks to clear before they can start on-site.
