We are looking for a

Domain Lead, Acquiring Services to be part of our Product and Services team.


The main purpose of a Domain Lead is to define and build market driven products through a demonstrated understanding of market needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends.

The Domain Lead role will achieve this through the establishment of overall strategic vision and direction for the Domain and be accountable for succeeding against identified metrics, managing the P&L for the Domain, setting short
- and long-term product goals and ensuring the team is working effectively together.

The Acquiring Domain consists of Business Analysts, developers, testers, and scrum masters as well as a lead engineer. There is also a dedicated Architect, Product Managers and Finance representative making up the Acquiring Domain.

Acquiring Services include device driving for ATMs and EFTPOS, as well as processing and/or settlement services to several domestic and international card Acquiring processing organisations.

As Cuscal's Domain Lead, Acquiring Services your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the Domain to ensure this remains a competitive advantage for Cuscal
  • Responsible for setting the key business objectives, developing & executing the product portfolio strategy for the respective Domain
  • Drives thought leadership and strategic planning for the Domain to identify key growth opportunities and develop go to market plans in conjunction with key stakeholders such as Business Development, Account Management and Marketing
  • Provides coaching and direction on ways of working and objectives, contributing to the performance reviews for roles supporting the delivery of products for the Domain, i.e., Finance, Compliance, Technology
  • Contribute to enterprisewide business plans by other Domain leads promoting opportunity development and identification of key client initiatives
  • Develops and works with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to drive alignment and continuous improvement of practices, product and design strategy, roadmap management, prioritisation, and client obsession
  • Responsible for the Domain P&L, delivering revenue and managing expenses in alignment with plan for Cuscal
  • Work proactively to drive initiatives that reduce the cost of operations, maintain SLA accountabilities, and support Cuscal to meet regulatory obligations
  • Responsible for maintaining compliant and resilient systems with lifecycle and defect management receiving appropriate priority and focus within the Domain
  • Work closely with the Compliance Team to ensure that all mandates from regulators, Schemes and other industry bodies are met and all products and services are compliant

About You


As a Domain Lead, you will be a leader of Leaders and are highly adaptive and resilient in leading through uncertainty in a consultative manner.

You are a natural collaborator and your ability to influence action and outcomes across a broad range of stakeholders and cross functional groups will ensure success in this role.

Additionally, a sharp analytical and problem-solving mindset with exceptional organisational and time management skills will centre on all that you do in this role.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in business or equivalent will be essential as will Agile Certification and Scrum Product Owner Certification for this role.
