  • Initial Fixed-Term contract with view to an ongoing, permanent appointment

  • Rate of pay commensurate with experience and qualifications, between $37.28 and $46.79 per hour base

This role is based at Falls Creek, the premier all-season alpine village and resort located in the Victorian High Plains.

The beautiful alpine village is ski-in-ski-out during the winter months and turns into an outdoor mecca during summer.

Falls Creek is part of Vail Resorts who own and operate ski areas including iconic resorts such as Perisher and Hotham in Australia as well as Park City, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb and Vail in North America.


The primary role of a Lift Fitter is to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all of Falls Creek's lifting systems including Chairlifts and Skier Conveyors.


In a typical day in this role, you might:

  • Scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and repairs of ski lifts
  • Assist with maintenance of mobile plant and vehicles as required
  • Regular maintenance and operational checks
  • Informing and reporting to Managers and Supervisors of lift conditions

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Certificate III in Mechanical Discipline
  • Driver's Licence
  • A high work ethic and dependability
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Electricians may be considered to fill this role, depending on experience. _
