The purpose of this role is to create data visualizations and reports that translate complex data into actionable insights for business stakeholders

  • Collecting and analysing data, identifying trends and patterns
  • Generating insights and recommendations
  • Developing data models and visualisations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and staying updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
  • Assist in Defining and documenting business data models
  • Assist with identification of cleaning and organizing data to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Analysing data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations
  • Assist with developing and implementing data models.
  • Creating data visualizations and reports to communicate insights effectively
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions
  • Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and insights generation
  • Providing recommendations and actionable insights based on data analysis.

The key skills of the Data and Reporting Analyst include:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their information needs and translate them into effective BI solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure a consistent flow of accurate data for analysis.
  • Design and build create visually appealing and informative data visualizations, dashboards and reports using Power BI and other data visualization tools.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends and patterns that inform business decisions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software such as MSSQL, Python, R, Excel, Power BI. Familiarity with data warehousing and data modelling concepts. Experience with data extraction tools (ETL/ELT). Proven experience with Power BI –have worked with dataflows, semantic models and created complex dashboards.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and solve complex business problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborate with different departments, and translate business requirements into data analysis tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy, identify anomalies or errors, and maintain data integrity throughout the analysis process.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends, advancements in data analysis techniques, and emerging technologies to enhance analytical capabilities.
