We have an opportunity in our administration leadership team for a Clerical in Charge to join our team based in South Brisbane.
Lumus operates across multiple locations in this region, whilst this role will be based at Brown Plains, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration of four other sites in this area.
This would be the perfect opportunity for a senior healthcare administration team member looking to advance their career, or for an experienced Clerical In Charge / Head Receptionist / Medical Secretary looking for a change.
As Clerical In Charge, you are pivotal in ensuring smooth operations and the best patient experience and must be comfortable problem solving and troubleshooting on a regular basis.
This exciting full-time opportunity is offered on a 16 month contract to support parental leave cover; with a strong potential to transition into a permanent position.

Key responsibilities include:
- Recruiting, onboarding, mentoring and developing the clerical team
- Day to day practice management ensuring efficient workflows
- Delivering exceptional patient experience
- Billing and account management i.e. Medicare resubmissions
- Patient record management
- Previous administration experience in a medical / healthcare environment
- Working knowledge of RIS and Patient Archiving Communication systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Empathy
- Practical approach and cando attitude
