Our Tenancy management team provides a hands-on service to support our tenants with their property needs.

The team currently manage the letting of the properties, monitor the payment of rent, inspect the properties and organise maintenance either proactively or acting on tenant requests.

The team inspect properties before tenants move and prior to them moving out. The team also deal with tenancy issues and complaints and generally respond to tenant needs.

Specifically, the position is responsible for:

  • customer service in relation to all aspects of tenancy management for all CatholicCare Victoria Housing properties
- efficiently managing our properties, ensuring they are well maintained and compliant with lease and occupancy requirements
- liaising with external stakeholders and partners in regard to facilities, including real estate agents, landlords, maintenance providers and contractors
- interviewing and vetting prospective tenants to minimise the vacancy time between tenancies.

To be considered for this position, applicants require:

  • completion of an REIV endorsed Agents Representative course would be an advantage, but not essential
- experience in the property industry including maintenance and tenancy management
- experience in building client relationships both internally and relationships with external stakeholders, developing, maintaining and strengthening existing relationships
- demonstrated residential tenancy / property management experience in private Real Estate or in Social Housing Sector
- understanding of the Victorian Residential Tenancies Act.

  • As a condition of employment, CatholicCare Victoria as an employer will collect, record and store vaccination information on employees where required in line with the Privacy Act. All CatholicCare Victoria workers are to be fully vaccinated (boosted), unless they are an Excepted Person for medical reasons. All applicants must therefore be able to comply with this requirement.
