Groundskeeper to support our Defence Base Services contract at
RAAF Williams, Laverton.
This is a 6 months fixed term role working Monday to Friday between 6:30am to 3pm.
What you will be doing:
- Carry out prestart inspection and nontechnical maintenance on plant and machinery
- Chainsaw operation
- Sports field line marking
- Litter & rubbish collection
- General garden duties including weeding, pruning and mulching
- Maintain site to an acceptable level of presentation, functoriality and safety
About you:
- Qualifications in Horticulture or relevant years of experience.
- Experience in environmental grounds maintenance.
- Experience in the use of Grounds Maintenance machinery such as: ride on mowers, tractors, brush cutters etc.
- Experience with using a chainsaw.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Sound problem solving, organising and time management skills.

You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
