_What are the key responsibilities?_
- Reporting to the Chief of Governance, Risk and Research, this role is integral in ensuring all regulatory and legislative requirements are met by our services._
- Working as a Quality and Governance Business Partner you will support and enable the development, implementation and evaluation of quality systems and continuous improvements in all service delivery streams to facilitate safe, high quality care and services aligned to the requirements of the aged care regulatory framework, the NDIS Framework and the retirement village regulatory requirements._
- In this role, you will be responsible for leading clinical governance, policy review, undertaking audits, risk assessments and analysis of reported outcomes and other clinical and nonclinical audits and risk data, and providing professional support and education in response to identified trends and organisational priorities to improve consumer experiences and outcomes._
_What you will bring to the role?_
- Registration as a Health Professional with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (highly desirable),
- Thorough knowledge of accreditation systems,
- Minimum 12 months experience working in a quality focussed role
- Demonstrated understanding of quality management principles and practices in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and capacity to communicate with, influence and build trust across all levels of management, employees, volunteers, consumers and their representatives.
- Demonstrated resilience and capacity to manage self and others through times of change, particularly in circumstances of changing forms of regulatory scrutiny and consumer expectation.
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary health care strategies that are effective in promoting and ensuring high quality care beyond compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in the development of professional documentation including reports for the Board, Executives and regulatory agencies, business cases and other communication tools.
- Proven analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated, or ability to quickly attain knowledge of contemporary theory and practice within the aged care sector, including knowledge of current legislative requirements and standards.
- Knowledge of or experience in National Disability Insurance Scheme operations (desirable).

- Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic notforprofit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community._
