  • Professional development opportunities of a minimum of $2000 per year plus 4 paid work days while attending professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide extensive knowledge and proactive support to the Operations Department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Uphold and promote a positive image of children, young people, and individuals with disabilities, adhering strictly to all relevant legislation, including the NSW Children's and Young Persons (Care & Protection) Act 1998, to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Play a vital role in the development of our internal Allied Health teams' practice framework, contributing to the enhancement of service quality and client outcomes.
  • Actively advocate for the importance of reparative experiences and evidence-based practices, staying updated with the latest research and trends in the field to deliver the best possible support to our clients.
  • Promote importance of reparative experiences and evidence-based practice
  • Offer high-quality clinical support to local communities, including designing and implementing effective training programs, therapy sessions, and behaviour support plans, tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals and maximize their overall well-being.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and current registration or eligibility for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia to practice as a psychologist.
  • Demonstrated experience and well-developed skills in working effectively with children, young people, or adults with a range of disability and/ or complex behavioural needs behaviours
  • Demonstrated experience in OOHC/ ADHC/ NDIS or similar field or industry.
  • Demonstrated experience or ability to work in Mental Health
  • Knowledge of strengths-based practice, as well as family and person-centred approaches
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices
  • Ability to collaborate across all services to ensure good practice and the maximisation of opportunities to achieve positive outcomes for the clients/participants, families, and/or carers.
  • Experience with a variety of cognitive, developmental, and behavioural assessments.
  • Current NSW Drivers license, Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check

Additional Information

  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police check.
