About the role:


Our Delivered Meals program is an essential daily service that supports many vulnerable people within the Merri-bek and Darebin communities.

Ensuring we have enough staff to deliver meals to clients each weekday is essential, which is why we are seeking a casual Delivered Meals driver to join our team.

The temporary role will provide assistance to the team to backfill unexpected and planned leave for permanent team members.


Reporting to the Delivered Meals Team Leader, you will use your own or council vehicles to deliver meals safely and hygienically to community members.

You will be supported by induction training as well as additional training as required and be responsible for following food safety processes among others to ensure the quality of the service.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about the community and wellbeing of our customers
  • Available to work between the hours of 9am 1pm
  • Holds a current driver's license and has use of a reliable vehicle
  • Able to follow processes related to wellbeing for clients
  • Able to communicate well with team members as well as people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Must be able to drive a small food van.

Skills and experience require to perform the role:

  • Has completed (or willing to complete) Food Safety Training
  • Good customer service skills and communication skills
