About the role
Join our dynamic team as an Adviser, Employment Programs at the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF).

Reporting directly to the Recruitment Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading and delivering a diverse range of employment initiatives, including the prestigious WoVG Victorian Government Graduate Program, Youth Employment Scheme, and internship pathways.

Your key responsibilities will involve managing the department's suite of employment programs, ensuring seamless coordination of recruitment processes, and providing expert guidance to program participants.

You will work with a range of different stakeholders create strong relationships allowing you to be a trusted advisor on all matters related to employment programs.

Using your communication skills, you will develop compelling promotional materials across various platforms, fostering engagement and awareness.
Additionally, you'll spearhead initiatives to enhance the department's graduate program experience, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.

About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of employment programs in government.
  • Sound conceptual and analytical skills, strong initiative and 'can do' approach to identify issues and develop appropriate solutions to solve complex or sensitive problems.
  • Strong project management, critical analysis and administration skills including the use of Microsoft products and in particular Excel spreadsheets.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, strong communicator, both written and verbally with a high attention to detail and proven experience in managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situations.
