We're looking for an experienced Delphi and .NET Developer to join our team during a time of growth. This role will see you ensuring our software is built with security, quality, scalability, and maintainability as top of mind.

You will get to:

  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture design, and automated testing activities to ensure knowledge is shared across the group
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Be responsibile for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the platform
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
  • Control and govern quality outcomes
  • Adhere to patterns and practices for secure software development
  • Ensure all code is documented and participate in code reviews
  • Contribute during estimation and design sessions
  • Ensure "shift left" testing policies are implemented, with unit testing being part of each code release
  • Adhere to the rules in place for our source control management (ie. Git)
  • Participate in Lightning Talk sessions to share knowledge amongst the group
  • Continue to contribute to our CI/CD strategy

More about you:

  • Demonstrated capacity to manage information security in an agile development environment
  • Strong analytical skills plus excellent written, oral communication and presentations skills
  • Demonstrated orientation towards using initiative, being proactive and accountable.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing requirements and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines and an ability to perform under pressure.
  • Experience with Agile software development utilising the Kanban or Scrum methodology.
  • Tertiary qualification at a degree level in Information Technology.
  • SQL Server Database Administration experience.
  • Exposure to system performance and capacity planning, platform upgrades, root cause analysis and application change management processes.
  • Exposure to problem analysis and complex IT solutions.
  • Solid hands on experience in developing applications using predominantly Delphi, and ideally ASP.NET Core and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience in writing unit tests
  • Minimum 4 years Delphi development experience building highly available applications using Delphi and SQL Server
  • Minimum of 2 years .NET Development experience
  • Hands on experience with AWS (tools and services) (desirable but not essential)
