Windy City Pawsis looking for a dependable person to join our professional team as a Lead Walker This is a part-time (30-hours/week), W-2 employed position that receives benefits like paid time off and 401(k) payroll contributions.

Additionally, you will be provided with paid training and education on dog and cat behavior throughout your tenure with us
As a Windy City Paws Lead Walker , you'll be committed to providing our clients and staff with the highest level of care and attention:
Train staff on Windy City Pawspet care service offerings like dog walks and pet sitting.
Assist staff out in the field with client instructions, keys, lockboxes, and emergencies.
Commute to different Windy City Pawsservice areas, as needed.
Provide constructive advice and supervision to staff regarding best practices.
The Lead Walkerwill also support the daily dog walking and pet sitting services, as needed:
Prepare the dog or dogs in each household to go outside with the appropriate gear (leash, harness, etc.).

Provide fun and enriching playtime for the full duration of the service (typically 30 or 60 minutes for dog walks or 2 hours for a pet sit).

Provide food, water, and/or medication per client instructions and Windy City Pawsprovided training.

Clean up after dogs outside on walks and inside the homes if there are accidents and clean up litter boxes for cats.


Chicago Service Areas:
Andersonville, Bucktown, Gold Coast, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, Logan Square, Loop, North Center, Old Town, Ravenswood, River North, Roscoe Village, South Loop, Streeterville, West Loop, Wicker Park

Qualifications:
Eligibility to work in the U.
S.
and a minimum age of 21.
Available without limitations from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
A reliable car and the ability to commute to and around the Chicago Service Areas(listed above).
Capable of withstanding all weather conditions outside and several hours of walking each day.
A smartphone with a data plan for communication and tracking walks.
Prior experience with dogs and/orcats in the pet care services industry.

Compensation:
Pay is $17.50 per hour for regular hours (8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday)

Pay for evening hours (5pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday) and weekend hours (8am to8pm, Saturday & Sunday) is $22.

50 per hour
As a part-time Lead Walker , you will be guaranteed30 regular hours per week with the option to work additional hours and/or evening/weekend shifts
Windy City Pawspays employees per hour, so the commute time between dog walking and pet sitting appointments is compensated#J-18808-Ljbffr
