The Enterprise Architect role is a key role to drive effective technology strategy and roadmap planning within Vicinity, that helps us shape the impact of technology to Vicinity.

This role is responsible for leading the creation of strategic technology plans and roadmaps that enables Vicinity's critical business capabilities and programs.

Expectations & Deliverables Strategic Planning -Develop an effective understanding of Vicinity's industry, business and technology drivers to create and socialise strategic technology direction for priority areas within Vicinity, that delivers value for business and enterprise needs today, and supports future business strategy Business and Capability Planning -Collaborate with key leaders to co-create future state technology direction and roadmaps that supports future business strategy for key business capabilities Develop deep understanding of future business and technology requirements that shape the most important outcomes, roadmaps, solutions and initiatives.

Work closely with stakeholders and executives to shape and secure transformational programs and initiatives for these business capabilities Stakeholder Engagement -Develop strong and influential working relationships with executive, business and technology leaders across strategic, roadmap & program planning engagements Develop profile with key business stakeholders to act as trusted independent technology advisor Develop structure and content to guide technology programs and initiatives across Vicinity with practical architecture principles, standards and policies that enable teams to deliver business outcomes while supporting strategic technology direction Architecture Collaboration -Engage with architects and technology leaders from solutions and programs across Vicinity's business, to facilitate aligned technology direction with Vicinity's strategic technology direction Key Role Relationships Internal Executives, Business Leaders, Program Leads, Owners of Technology Platforms & Applications External Market research & consultative advisory partners Technology platforms & professional service vendors ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (what you have done) -10+ years demonstrated experience in scoping and delivering architecture work that enables enterprise technology direction, executable technology roadmaps and high impact transformation programs Experience in defining and delivering sound, contemporary and pragmatic approaches for wide range of technology areas, inclusive of strategic direction, current state assessments, target blueprints and roadmaps Demonstrated experience of engaging business stakeholders to discover and co-create sound business technology roadmaps that support their strategy while translating to material uplift in their technology Experience of initiating major discovery engagements and securing business cases for programs in cross-functional teams Experience in providing solution architecture within complex programs leading to successful solution execution and operations, across waterfall and agile delivery methodologies CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE (what you need to know) -Familiarity with basic graphical modelling approaches, tools and repositories Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, or equivalent experience in a related business CAPABILITIES (what you can do) -Demonstrated ability to develop and manage effective relationships with executive, senior business and technology leaders Proven ability to design and facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders to support architectural efforts Excellent planning and organizational skills, managing multiple deliverables simultaneously and ability to prioritise based on strategic outcome realisation Excellent written and verbal communicator, particularly in terms of simply presenting complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate program alignment to the strategic direction for the domain, particularly contributing to sound successful program establishment phases, where delivery approach, estimations, resource identification and risk mitigation are addressed PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES (who you are) -Adaptable - comfortable with navigating uncertainty and applying structure where required Forward thinking – anticipates, sets goals for future and looks for enterprise needs Persuasive – enjoys influencing and working with people Consultative – works with wide range of stakeholders, consults widely to ensure decisions land well Analytical – ensures independence and data behind decisions Resilient – Overcome inevitable hurdles that are within control, or only with influencing, to tackle objectives and goals with a longer timeframe Previous experience working with REIT organisations, inclusive of construction and property management Previous experience of working with Architecture tooling and platforms Knowledge of core business platforms (e.g.
