Our client is a nationally recognized Not-For-Profit organization providing innovative accommodation, care, and support services to disadvantaged young people. Due to the ongoing success of their STEP Program, this NFP is rapidly growing and expanding. They are now seeking exceptional individuals for their Grafton House.

About the Role:

Join a dynamic team of Youth Workers dedicated to making a tangible difference. Your extensive experience as a Therapeutic Youth Worker will ensure you have the required capabilities to better support the clients with challenging behaviours. Your ability to connect with young people, coupled with patience and compassion, will drive your success in this role. You'll approach your work from a trauma-informed, client-centred perspective.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

* Team Collaboration: Work with a team of Youth Workers providing 24/7 care and support to an individual young person in a family home.
* Case Plan Implementation: Support the young person's case plans daily, collaborating with the Program Manager.
* Daily Living Assistance: Help the young person with daily activities, promote healthy eating, ensure school engagement, and encourage participation in sports and community activities.
* Relationship Building: Develop and maintain effective communication and positive relationships with the young person.
* Behaviour Management: Assist the young person in managing their behaviour through self-awareness and a strengths-based approach.
* Safety and Incident Response: Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours or incidents, ensuring the young person's safety.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely reports and communications.
* Workplace Safety: Ensure a safe and productive environment, report safety concerns, and keep the house clean.
* Task Management: Complete assigned house tasks and follow reasonable directions from the Program Manager and care team.

What You Need:

Certificate IV in Community Services or Youth Work or equivalent.
* Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
* Working with Children Check.
* Police Clearance.
* Unrestricted driver's license.
