About the role:

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, your role will be to ensure workplace health and safety regulations are complied with. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Work Health and Safety Management System, aligned with relevant legislation and codes, and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant standards, operational and business requirements.
  • Implement and deliver a Safety Leadership strategy to promote a safety culture across the organisation.
  • Provide health and safety advice and support in managing health and safety issues and risks.
  • Undertake consultation, lead committees and coordinate reporting accountabilities for safety initiatives.
  • Complete or support WH&S investigations.
  • Complete site visits to support and guide the teams on WH&S standards, practices and strategies.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in WH&S. Relevant qualifications will be highly regarded. You will also possess:

  • Experience in the interpretation and practical application of relevant legislation and codes associated with Work Health and Safety Management.
  • Experience in Health and Safety auditing and the conduct of investigations into WH&S incidents and accidents.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to Work Health and Safety.
  • Experience in work assessment, rehabilitation and return to work programs.
  • Customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in planning, organising, prioritising, and coordinating work in a changing environment.
  • Current Class "C" driver's license.
