Brisbane, Queensland, Australia CMC Group Full time
Looking for a role that combines your exceptional administration and organisational skills in a truly people-focused environment?

Then we have a great opportunity for you

About us:

CMC is a privately owned, highly respected Queensland-based civil contractor.

With a strong focus on people, culture, and services, plus a great track record in delivering multi-million-dollar civil works across Queensland and NSW, we are rapidly growing - and we want you to come along for the ride.

About the role:

We are seeking a self-motivated, fast, and accurate Administrator to join our People & Culture Team to undertake administrative duties relating to talent acquisition, onboarding, and database management.

This is a great opportunity if you want a full-time, office-based role where you will be working in a small supportive team striving for best HR Practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daytoday administrative tasks, such as preparing employment contracts, managing employee files, preparing HR documents, and maintaining HR databases;
  • Managing the People & Culture inbox and attending to inquiries and concerns directly or passing them on to appropriate managers;
  • Handling confidential information ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy regulations;
  • General correspondence, including drafting letters, memos, and other HRrelated communications;
  • Managing onboarding and offboarding processes, including reference checking, organising preemployment medicals, travel arrangements, inductions, training, and probation monitoring;
  • Maintaining applicant tracking systems and databases to ensure accurate and timely information;
  • Collaborating with HR team members and hiring managers on various projects and initiatives;
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.

About you:

Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is highly organised, can work autonomously with urgency, has keen attention to detail, and enjoys building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

If you already have experience in a similar position in HR, this will be highly regarded.

However, this role could suit a graduate with a general understanding of contemporary human resource principles and practices, or someone from a fast-paced admin role within civil engineering or construction.

Whatever your background, you will need to be:

  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion;
  • And have proven ability to multitask and handle competing priorities.

Interested?:

If you're self-motivated, up for a challenge, and have excellent references, let's talk.

As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. Women and People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island heritage are strongly encouraged to apply.
