What we are seeking... an industrial electrician ready to become part of our Eastern Suburbs teams. Your main tasks will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance duties across our region.

Must Have...

• Electrical Licence
• Australia Recognised Trade Certificate
• Australian Drivers Licence
• Excellent physical condition

Conditions

• Electrical license allowances of $64.25 per week, alongside other benefits
• Hourly rates ranging from $48.00 to $49.47
• Afternoon shifts come with a 15% bonus, while on-call duties include a $111 standby allowance per day

Assets in need of maintenance may involve:

• UV equipment
• Cathodic protection
• Experience with chemical dosing equipment
• Maintenance of wastewater and water pumping stations, as well as related equipment
• Handling low pressure and vacuum systems
• Tasks concerning mixers, blowers, gearboxes, skimmers, actuators, and valves
• Carrying out maintenance on generators, making connections during outages
• Management of wastewater treatment plants

As a member of the Operations Maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

• Safely carrying out your role while adhering to D4C and Sydney Water's safety, compliance, and environmental regulations
• Performing scheduled maintenance to guarantee plant and equipment compliance and safety
• Addressing equipment faults promptly during shifts
• Regular inspections to identify areas for improvement
• Troubleshooting and fixing issues, including proper reporting and maintenance of records
• Installing and testing new equipment
• Engaging in general maintenance tasks on a daily basis

Who you are...

• Possess practical and theoretical knowledge of SCADA
• Experience in pump maintenance and electric motors
• Applying leading policies and procedures effectively
• Having instrumentation qualifications will be advantageous

Operational details:

• Full-time permanent position from Mon to Fri, day shift starting at 7am
• Attractive hourly rate, with additional shift bonuses, allowances, and overtime pay
• One week every 8 weeks on afternoon shift starting at 3:30pm, including on-call duties and weekend responsibilities
