Container Surveyor

The role of Container Survey is to inspect empty containers on arrival and quote them for repair/upgrade according to customer requirements.
Quotes are to be accurate and processed in a timely manner.This Role is a Temp to Perm role, Full training will be provided to the right applicant. Upskilling within the business and working within a fantastic company.
You must have full working rights within Australia and no Restrictions.

_Duties include but are not limited to:_
- Ensure that local operation procedures relevant to the safe operations around the survey pad are strictly followed.
- To present to work in a fit and workable condition. Not to be effected by drugs or alcohol whilst at the Container yard. To comply with the Site E Depot Drug and Alcohol policy.
- Ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment is used; for example wearing seat belts
- Report any equipment defect, hazard or incident in relation to their work area.
- Ensure that all injuries and incidents are notified to the supervisor
- The ability to work with others as part of a team environment.
- Ability to use provided PDA to enter quotes.
- Quote / inspect each container on its merits and use customer guidelines to process containers.
- Mark each container with the appropriate sticker to ensure the forklift driver takes it to the correct stack.
- Keep up to date with customer requirements which are listed on the survey summary sheet.
- Maintain clean working environment at all times.
- Work under workshop manager instructions.
- Report any potential quarantine risks to management.
- Assist in other areas as requested by management from time to time.

_Special Considerations:
_
- Prepared to undertake any additional training to complement the operation
- Day shift hours 5.30am start and reasonable overtime as may be required.
- To work at other Sites within the business.
- IICL accreditation preferred.
- Ability to use I pad/ pda hardware.
