We provide top-notch expertise in advice, services, and innovative technology-based products to help solve our customers' toughest challenges.Join our Bushfire and flood-mapping reconnaissance team based in Nowra as a suitably qualified GIS AnalystAs a GIS Analyst, you will support our aircraft and scanner operators/aircrew in delivering crucial information for effective searching and mapping of fire and flood areas. Our fleet includes specially modified Learjet and King Air aircraft for wide area bushfire surveillance, multispectral imaging, and aeromedical operations across Australia.Your day-to-day role as a GIS Analyst will involve:
  • Collating and curating various multispectral images from our aircraft
  • Ensuring clients receive necessary information as per our contract
  • Developing operational enhancements to streamline mission planning and data delivery
  • Liaising with aircraft teams to achieve the best outcomes for clients

To be eligible for this role, you need:
  • Willingness to be within 1 hr of Nowra for at least the initial 8 weeks for training, with remote work possibility afterward
  • IT skills and experience with GIS software like QGIS, ENVI, Global Mapper, or equivalent
  • Readiness to work on call at short notice
  • High levels of awareness and a safety-first attitude
  • Be willing to obtain a defence security clearance (Australian Citizenship required)
