About you

  • You are passionate about working with children and building trusting relationships with them and their families.
  • You enjoy collaboration and work well in a team environment.
  • You are a good communicator and understand teamwork is vital in this field of work.
  • You have experience in an Educational Leadership position or willing to undertake professional development to gain an understanding.
  • You have worked previously in a similar role e.g., Assistant Coordinator, Senior Educator, Responsible Person.
  • You can liaise with families about their child's participation in the program.
  • You are interested in mentoring and supporting teams in implementing a developmentally appropriate program.
  • You are able to communicate with members of the school, community and other stakeholders in a professional way.
  • Desirable: You possess a Cert III in Children's Services / Cert IV in School Aged Care, a Diploma, or equivalent or willingness to obtain.

Desirable: You possess a valid and current CHCPRT001Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
  • Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain (1 day training).

Required: You possess a valid and current HLTAID012 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training).

Required: You possess a valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.

Required: You can show proof of your full COVID-19 Vaccination Status.

If you are passionate about contributing positively to the lives of children through facilitating an amazing, engaging, and fun program for them after school, then this role is perfect for you Creativity, inclusivity, understanding of the developmental phases of children, and the knowledge to implement a unique and interesting program is what this Service needs.


You will be responsible for leading the team in the implementation of an awesome program created by you in collaboration with children, educators, and families The OSHC space offers free flowing indoor and outdoor play, child-centred programs, and a play-based curriculum.

You will have plenty of time for program creation and administration, and you will also be required to step into the position of Responsible Person in the absence of the Coordinator (full training on this will be provided).


The Service also has a great relationship with the school, with the OSHC being valued as an extension of the school community.
