Position Overview

To provide administration support to the operational areas of RGA focusing strongly on the claims processes, as well as coordinating and supporting the Senior Operations Analyst in the day to day operations of the department.

A comprehensive understanding of both the insurance and re-insurance industry, with the ability to maintain a high level of communication with internal and external clients, will be critical to this role.


Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities**:

  • Ensure the integrity of the operations of the claims department through accurate and timely processing of data
  • Ensure the integrity of the claims data is maintained and all data validations are completed as planned
  • Reconcile payments entered into Operations Claims database to ensure accuracy of reporting
  • Maintain agreed service standards
  • Provide reporting and analysis as required
  • Follow guidelines to ensure that the Operations Department does not contribute to wide fluctuations in company results due to inappropriate statement processing or accruals
  • Follow guidelines for various accounts including but not limited to Australia and New Zealand business within treaty parameters. Fully understand the written agreement as well as the intent of the agreement and establish the necessary processing steps to ensure accurate and efficient processing of the arrangements.
  • Document and follow administration procedures
  • Assist with projects or ad hoc duties as requested
  • Ensure that data mappings for applicable portfolio are maintained and up to date
  • Be curious to gain a thorough understanding of the impact the operations area has on the other departments within RGA
  • Ensure any audit actions for applicable portfolio and followed up and actioned per allocated timeframe

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:
_**- Tertiary/TAFE qualifications in related discipline desirable

  • Previous Life Claims Administration experience preferred
