You could be one of our 2700 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About the role As the Human Factors Specialist, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Safety Sustainability and Risk Group.
Reporting to the Human Factors Integration Specialist you are responsible for undertaking and assisting in the management and application of Human Factors principles and required process (HFI) into Projects and Change.
Working closely with the V/Line group and broader project stakeholders you will drive activities required to satisfy V/Line HFI requirements for Design or Assurance.
Some Key Accountabilities include:
Support multiple project and change teams to ensure effective Human Factors integration.
Manage varying Human Factors Integration actions simultaneously.
Undertake Early Human Factors Analyses Ensure that Human Factors advice is accurate, timely and effective and evidence of all Human Factors activities is appropriately documented.
Identify, develop and implement Human Factors initiatives for improved Human Factors Integration.Build strong relationships across the business including with the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, Project and Change teams.
Support the existing internal and external Human Factors team.
About you You will have the ability to work collaboratively, with multiple teams and stakeholders while managing competing priorities and have strong written and verbal skills with the ability to convey complex information concisely.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following: Proficiency in conducting assurance and design activities for Human Factors Integration in medium to large projects/changes.
Examples include HF Integration for control room / control panel / HMI design and modification/rollingstock design projects.A minimum of two years' experience and demonstrable track record in the application of Human Factors, preferably in the rail sector.
Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, preferably as they relate to rail projects.Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Ergonomics/Human Factors or a highly related field (e.g.
Ergonomics, Psychology and/or Behavioural Science).
Membership (or eligibility for membership/ Certification/ Chartership) in a recognised Human Factors Professional accreditation body is essential.
