Manager Engineering Services

Reference:
Contract for up to five yearsFull time (76 hours per fortnight)

About this positionBased at the City's Civic Centre, this position will report to the Director Infrastructure and lead the Engineering Design and Transport, Construction and Maintenance teams.

The Manager Engineering Services is a key player in the Infrastructure Directorate's strategic planning and projects. This role ensures that the City operates within best practice engineering standards while meeting the needs of the community. Additionally, the Manager will oversee the design of roadways, drainage, earthworks, footpaths and other projects.
This position will also work closely with key stakeholders to provide comprehensive engineering advice and recommendations.

Professional background working in Civil Engineering and Project ManagementDemonstrated knowledge of engineering design and construction principles combined with knowledge of relevant legislation, civil engineering standards and proceduresProven ability to lead and be accountable in the work environment by empowering, motivating and developing peopleA high level of business and commercial acumenA track record of successfully building and managing effective project partnershipsTertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Asset Management or relevant fieldCurrent driver's licenceCurrent Police Clearance (less than three months old)
