We are looking for an energised Early Childhood Teacher to join the educative team at Goodstart North Sydney west St.

As the Teacher you will deliver high quality and inclusive learning programs using contemporary teaching theories, strategies and styles, knowledge of child development and alignment to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).

Our Centre


Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre North Sydney - West Street is located in North Sydney, close to Sydney's CBD.

The centre is easily accessible -a hop, skip and jump away from the buses and trains. We are located on a quiet, tree lined street, close to North Sydney Library and Police Station.


The centre boasts four beautiful and well resourced rooms and two playgrounds, one for our precious Nursery children and an exceptionally large playground for the very active Toddler and Preschool children.


Our qualified staff are dedicated and committed to ensuring all children are empowered to participate in the experiences and resources in our state of the art learning environment.

Our individualised program - tailored in line with the Early Years' Learning Framework - from Nursery to Preschool caters for each child's interests and needs, and our teachers work in partnership with families to set achievable goals for the children.

We believe that families are of the utmost importance and respect and value their feedback and input.

Our families often mention to us how we have become part of their family and are accepted by their child as part of their social network.

The squeals of the children in the hallway, eager to see their teachers and friends, is such a fantastic sound We pride ourselves on the wonderful rapport that we develop with each and every family and the close, personal friendships we develop with each individual child.

A bit about the role

Lead and model the selection and implementation of effective pedagogical approaches to support children's learning and development outcomes.
Design and implement engaging learning programs using knowledge of content, curriculum, children's needs, assessment and reporting requirements.
Champion positive and meaningful relationships with children.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, evaluate and enhance learning outcomes for children.
Develop engaging and inclusive learning environments that reflect the strengths, interests and needs of all children.

Develop, select and use a range of informal, formal, diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies to assess children's learning and maintain high quality pedagogical documentation.

Establish and maintain respectful collaborative partnerships with families to assess and support children's learning and wellbeing.
Maintain a safe environment for children, families and team members.
Contribute to a professional and positive work culture

We would love you to have

Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
Hold a valid WWCC
Hold an up-to-date Professional Teachers Accreditation (state applicable)
A passion for delivering child-led fun and play-based programs to help our children learn and grow
