Due to rapid growth within our business, we are searching for a savvy NDIS Transport Worker (driver) to join our team

About the Opportunity:


As an NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Transport Worker, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services for individuals with a disability who are eligible for NDIS funding.

You will ensure that individuals are transported to and from their desired destinations in a timely and efficient manner, while adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

You will work closely with individuals with a disability, their families or carers, and other members of the care team to ensure that transportation needs are met effectively.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and reliable transportation services for individuals with a disability in accordance with NDIS guidelines and regulations.
  • Assist individuals with a disability in boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, and ensure their comfort and safety during transportation.
  • Follow designated routes and schedules to transport individuals to and from their desired destinations, such as medical appointments, therapy sessions, social outings, and other activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, including pickup and dropoff times, mileage, and any incidents or accidents that may occur during transportation.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with individuals with a disability, their families or carers, and other members of the care team to provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or inquiries

Essential Criteria:

  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • WWCC (working with children check) clearance
  • Must have a valid National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Legal rights to work in Australia
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Be up to date with Covid19 Vaccination
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Understanding and respect for diversity, inclusivity, and individual rights of individuals with a disability.

Experience Required:

  • In providing transportation services for individuals with a disability or other vulnerable groups.
  • Ability to operate a variety of transportation vehicles, such as cars or vans, depending on the requirements of the job.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to adhere to schedules and meet transportation needs.
  • Physical ability to assist individuals with a disability in boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, and perform other related tasks as needed.
