Salt is excited to partner with a state government agency to source a communications officer with will develop and implement marketing communications plans.


What is on offer:

  • Start date: 01/04/24
  • End date: 28/06/24
  • Pay: $5562 per hour + super (depending on experience)
  • Location: Leichhardt office, hybrid working

What will you be doing?:

  • Develop and implement internal and external marketing and communications plans to support program objectives, initiative, and projects.
  • Create, edit and proof content for a range of internal and external communication channels to ensure accurate and integrated key messaging.
  • Measure, evaluate and report the effectiveness of communications and channels through feedback loops built into all communications plans and activities.
  • Contribute to the effective management and scheduling of communications by contributing to the Media and Communications calendar and ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Undertake research and analysis, using best practice methodologies to support and deliver evidence based communications

What will you bring?:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing innovative communication and marketing strategies that drive engagement and build brand awareness and reputation.
  • Highlevel communications skills with the ability to write compelling information that achieves objectives and reinforces key messaging.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills, the ability to monitor and measure performance of campaigns and other communications and to use this information to drive continuous improvement.
  • Tertiary qualifications in internal and external communications, public relations, journalism or marketing combined with relevant experience gained in a complex organisation and an understanding of the machinery of Government.
