Xcell is seeking a workshop Foreman to oversee the production of high-quality fire-resistant doors and windows under industry standards and regulations.
Your role involves managing a team of skilled craftsmen, coordinating workflow, and ensuring the efficient and timely completion of projects.
The Workshop Foreman plays a crucial role in maintaining the workshop's safety, quality, and productivity.Duties:
- Lead and manage a team of craftsmen in the workshop.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure the team's skill development.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams to understand project requirements.
- Develop production schedules, set targets, and allocate resources effectively.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within specified timelines.
- Enforce strict adherence to quality standards and regulations for fire doors and windows.
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections throughout the production process.
- Manage inventory and ensure an adequate supply of raw materials.
- Coordinate with procurement to source quality materials at competitive prices.
- Monitor usage and minimize waste through efficient production practices.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of workshop equipment.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to address any equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Implement preventive maintenance measures to prolong the lifespan of machinery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in carpentry or a related field
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
