About the Role:

We currently have an ongoing opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly skilled individual to join our team in the North West Region at our Bendigo (Kangaroo Flat) workshop as a Tower Overseer.

In this key role you will assist in all Tower Overseer related works and services associated with the installation & maintenance of towers, antenna masts and ancillary equipment including fabrication plus antenna installation and testing throughout Victoria - ensuring CFA's communications systems are installed, tested, commissioned and maintained in a manner that is consistent with the emergency services nature of the organisation.

About You:

Crucial to your success in this role will be your:

• Ability to work comfortably at heights
• Certifications in Highrisk work
• WP Class
• Tower Rescue accreditation including Level 2 First Aid Accreditation
• A Medium rigid driver's licence
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Dogging, basic and intermediate rigging certification (highly desirable).
• A TAFEaccredited short course in basic arc and MIG welding or an appropriate trade qualification (highly desirable).

Furthermore, the person we are looking for may also have:

• Certificate for operating elevated work platform (EWP)
• Experience in tower and antenna installation & maintenance
• Experience in administration and maintenance of records

Other Relevant Information:

• Frequent travel throughout Victoria, including overnight absences from home is an essential part of the role.
• The position will be based in Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo
• The incumbent will be required to liaise with volunteer and career staff from both technical and nontechnical backgrounds.
• The incumbent may be required to work in ceiling spaces, under floors, etc and to install, repair or replace equipment in remote locations.
• Some overtime may be required.
• Additional duties will be required to support CFA Championships.
