About the position

DroneShield is in search of a Test Engineer with relevant expertise to join the Sydney team in NSW. This role will directly report to the VP of Embedded Systems.

The core responsibility involves enhancing and managing DroneShield's RF Capability. Collaborating closely with ML/AI, Data Science, RF, and infrastructure teams to revolutionize and elevate DroneShield's cutting-edge Anti-Drone technology. It offers a remarkable opportunity for a proactive individual in an emergent but thriving sector.

Roles and Expectations

As the Test Engineer, your primary focus will be on establishing the ability to gather data related to RF Technology. This includes:

  • Conducting Test Campaigns
  • Automating Testing
  • Data Management
  • Effectively communicating test outcomes
  • Documenting the testing processes
  • Collaborating with diverse teams to fulfill user and business needs

Requirements and Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechatronics, Electronic Engineering, or similar technical field; or equivalent practical background
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in pertinent roles such as Test Engineer, Electronics Engineering, or Quality Engineer
  • Essential knowledge includes:
    • Proficiency in Linux environments and command line operations
    • Proficient in Python for software development
    • Experience with development tools like Git and Jira
  • Desirable knowledge covers:
    • RF, spectral analysis, and RF Test Equipment
    • Hardware in the loop CICD design
  • Candidates must be committed to working from the Sydney, Pyrmont office full-time
