ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The Human Resources Officer (HRO) is responsible for coordinating the staffing resources between

Always About Me and our clients to ensure efficient service delivery.

The role is mainly accountable for Human Resources matters and creating ongoing staff rosters and assigning shift covers for any arising day-to-day cancellations.


This position is also expected to work closely with the staff and clients, therefore maintaining high levels of customer service approach while ensuring that everyone is well informed throughout the process.


Position Dimension:
Full-Time up to 38 hours Per Week


Requirements for the role
In order to efficiently serve in this role, the holder of the position must have the following:

Nature and Scope of this Position
The incumbent should have reasonable computing skills.

They must be proficient in operating Microsoft Office programs and be willing to undergo training in the use of Always About Me's Administration systems.

The person filing this role should also possess the following attributes:

Specific responsibilities:

  • Onboarding and induction of new staff
  • Oversee the recruitment process from start to finish.
  • Continuously Track availability of current, new or upcoming staff for AAM and ensure this is communicated frequently to your leadership team.
  • Induct current, new and upcoming staff to AAM and its values and vision.
  • HR policies and procedure
  • Review and update HR Policies and Procedures as directed by the employer.
  • Suggest improvements and amendments in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Personnel document management
  • Write and review employment contracts.
  • Manage all employment documentation.
  • Create and review job descriptions for different positions.
  • Advice
  • Deliver timely advice and support regarding a wide spectrum of Human Resource (HR) issues to Management and Staff.
  • Support
  • Provide support to Management and Staff regarding compliance of AAM policies and procedures.
  • HR initiative and systems
  • Provide support in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Performance management
  • Provide timely advice on matters regarding performance management and disciplinary investigations
  • Undertake performance management on AAM staff as directed by the employer.
  • Review performance management of AAM staff from AAM leadership team as required.
  • Workers' compensation
  • Coordinate the workers compensation portfolio
  • Payroll
  • Provide advice & action on payroll related matters, including:
i. Pay rates

ii. Pay related entitlements like shift loading

iii. Leave entitlements

iv. Process payroll weekly as required with the accounts department.

v. Process timesheets every week including KM claim for AAM staff as required.

  • Coaching
  • Provide coaching to Management on matters of HR/IR/ER
  • Misc.
  • Ensure you contribute to enabling the business to improve, refine and grow from your professional capacity and role.
  • Attend work place office or work related meetings outside of office location as required.

  • Ability to prioritise staffing resources to serve the client needs and requirements.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and flexibly within a team
  • Experience in using IT systems, database and scheduling software

Appraisal and Evaluation

  • Initial 6months appraisal.
  • Annual appraisal or as required.
  • Selfappraise and establish goal and objectives.

Selection Criteria:

Essential

  • Human Resources qualifications (Minimum Cert IV).
  • Experience in Human Resources (HR) role for at least 25 years post qualification.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence, own vehicle.
  • NDIS Worker Screening check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • National Police Clearance no older than 6 months.
