Payroll Assistant

As a Payroll Assistant you will be responsible for delivering professional and efficient payroll administration services for SYC.

Based at our Kent Town Head office and reporting to the Head of Payroll, you will administer the payroll process in an accurate and timey manner.

You will develop effective working relationships and communication with managers and employees across the organisation.

Your day-to-day activities may vary, but will include:

• Preparing and distributing payroll automatic increment letters
• Completing payroll checks as required.
• Completing all end of month reporting and payment requirements, including superannuation and child support.
• Developing and maintaining the payroll system and its requirements, including accessing, entering, and updating information.
• Developing an understanding and appreciation of the importance of reviewing, interpreting, and comprehending all contractual documentation before entering information into the payroll system.

About You

As someone customer focussed with a 'can do' attitude and an engaging and enthusiastic manner, you will have proven administration experience and be looking for a challenge.

You will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to learn new job-related skills and to work in a fast-paced environment.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

• Knowledge and experience in general administration processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy skills and have ability to adapt to new platforms.
• Demonstrated time management, organisation and prioritising skills and ability to meet deadlines.

For this role, you will need to:

• Complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
• Be eligible to work in Australia
