As a VLF Technician reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will assist in the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the VLF transmitter subsystem and associated telecommunications facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Broadcast transmitter operation and maintenance skills
  • Proficiency in IT environment (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Technical problem-solving with strong communication skills
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Efficiently perform VLF Day Technician duties as needed
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in electronics
  • Experience in a Communications-related trade or equivalent
  • Previous work on High Power Transmitters
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing communication faults
  • PLC knowledge with ladder logic diagnostics
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic First Aid certification
  • Eligibility for Australian Defence Security Clearance
