The corporate tax advisory team is seeking a dedicated senior consultant to join their ranks.

About The Role
The corporate tax team specializes in offering thorough advice on significant transactions, ensuring tax-efficient outcomes while navigating potential challenges. By leveraging our proficiency in transaction comprehension, business insights, and tax consequences, we consistently deliver optimal results aligned with clients' goals.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Advise on implications during group acquisitions or entity departures from a Consolidated Group.
  • Facilitate initial public offerings and conduct detailed due diligence processes.
  • Structure intricate merger transactions, encompassing domestic and overseas operations.
  • Ensure continual availability of tax losses within the group and reset the tax base of underlying assets.
  • Assist in preparing advice and computations related to international tax matters.
  • Conduct research and analysis of technical tax issues, preparing comprehensive tax reports.
  • Prepare company and trust tax returns, including consolidated company tax returns, for a diverse range of large corporate clients.
  • Country by Country Reporting.
  • Thin Cap.

About You

  • Experience: 2.5-5 years of Australian tax experience in Big 4/mid-tier accounting firms, law firms, or relevant corporate backgrounds.
  • Education: Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, or Law (with a focus on Taxation).
  • Skills: Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with a keen interest in continuous improvement.
  • Working Style: Embrace a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive approach to work.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to embrace new ideas, challenge conventions, and adopt innovative strategies.
  • Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
