As a Casual Event Risk Advisor, you'll promote our safety culture message "Safety First, Last and Always" Reporting to the WHS Coordinator you will support the Venue's strong health, safety and wellbeing program by monitoring, reporting and providing guidance to workers involved in event activities and contribute to patron safety.


About the Role

  • Monitoring highrisk activities associated with the loading in and out of touring production and events;
  • Conducting venue inspections prior to event, identifying and reporting hazards or risks
  • Monitoring public patron safety throughout the event;
  • Reporting of incidents and accidents; assisting in incident notification process;
  • Delivering inductions and safety briefings/ toolboxes, as or when required;
  • Proactively endeavour to resolve issues quickly and effectively;
  • Developing positive safety relationships with key event stakeholders to ensure effective communication

About You

  • Minimum Cert IV in OHS/ WHS from a recognised industry organisation;
  • Experience in a similar role, within events or in highrisk activities, within a similar environment;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant WA OSH legislation, codes of practice and standards relevant to events or equivalent;
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills and a capacity for lateral thinking;
  • Ability to work well in a team and flexible work environment with demonstrated experience managing priorities in a busy environment;
Working in the venue and event industry means supporting the delivery of events across our event calendar. This means that weekend, evening and public holiday work will be required. Please Note; relevant screening checks will be conducted as part of the recruitment process. We will request a Police Clearance and Proof of Identity that meets the 100-point check.

RAC Arena is WA's home of live entertainment, music and sports.

Since opening, our 15,000 seat venue has hosted many famous superstars, including Prince, The Killers, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran, KISS, Celine Dion and Katy Perry.

RAC Arena has also given our sporting favourites an opportunity to thrive and excel.

The venue has previously hosted the Hopman Cup with record attendance and stellar players, such as Roger Federer, and Serena and Venus Williams.

The Perth Wildcats have scaled new heights on and off the court by regularly playing in front of more than 12,000 people, transforming the CBD into a sea of red during their home games.
