Production Driller

AWX Mount Isa are currently seeking Experienced Production Drillers for a minimum 6 month project at a local mine site.

We are looking for multi-skilled drillers with strong experience in production drilling, using Epiroc Simba & Sandvik drill rigs.

Local applicants are encouraged to apply, however FIFO will be considered for the right candidates from Brisbane or Townsville.

Rosters for these roles consist of 7:7 rotation of days and nights for local candidates and a 2:1 roster for FIFO candidates.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Perform a range of drilling duties associated with underground drilling

• Be accountable for your own personal safety and others

• Participate in shift change-over and pass on relevant safety & production critical information

• Effectively manage own time to maximize productivity and minimize wastage

• Ensure full participation in target setting program

• Maintaining and improving OH&S and overall operational standards in the workplace

• Coaching and supporting production workers to improve their process knowledge and skills

The successful candidate will possess:

• Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers Licence

• Proven experience with Epiroc Simba & Sandvik rigs

• Experience with mine service work (service reticulation, ventilation)

• Basic equipment tickets (IT, Loader, Forklifts etc)

• Ability to read and understand technical mine plans and drill designs

• Knowledge and ability to manage drill consumablesCarbide and PCD consumables

• Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail

• Good communication skills
